A Greek-French telehealth platform that five Greek regions offered to citizens for free during the pandemic. Front end, UI design and illustration.
Overview
Dr. Button was a Greek-French telehealth start-up with a simple goal: to make high-quality medical care available to everyone. Patients could book a doctor, pay online and have a video consultation from their phone, tablet or computer.
When the pandemic reached Greece in March 2020, five regions, Central Macedonia, Thessaly, Western Greece, Central Greece and the South Aegean, offered Dr. Button to citizens for free together with their medical associations. More than 500 doctors volunteered, over 8,000 consultations took place by the end of April, and the platform was covered widely by Greek TV and press.
The plan was to grow from Greece to France and then worldwide, but issues at leadership level brought the company to an end.
What I did
- Front-end development of all three web applications: the patient app, the doctor app and the back-office.
- Video consultations with the OpenTok (Vonage) video API, appointment calendars, and card payments with Stripe.
- A fully multilingual interface with a translation workflow for the content team.
- End-to-end testing with Cypress.
- UI design and illustrations.
Dr. Button has since been discontinued, and its former domain now belongs to an unrelated website.
