Mousiko Kafeneio

Overview

Mousiko Kafeneio is a warm, authentic café-bar in Nea Smyrni, Athens, at the entrance of Polis Park, serving drinks, cocktails and rakomelo to a soundtrack of good music. I redesigned its website from the ground up to capture the atmosphere of the place and to help new visitors find it.

What I did

• A dark, modern design built around the café’s own logo, photography and terracotta accent colour.
• Hand-coded in HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript, with no page builder or heavy framework, so pages load quickly on any phone.
• Greek and English versions on their own indexable URLs, connected for search engines with hreflang.
• Local SEO: structured data for the business with opening hours, location, menu and online ordering, matching the café’s Google Business Profile, plus a sitemap and social sharing images.
• Delivery buttons for Wolt, efood and BOX, and an interactive map with directions.
• Modern WebP images, and automated checks on desktop and mobile with Playwright.
