Cryptobase.gr
A Greek news portal about crypto and blockchain, past a thousand articles. My own project: I built it and I run it.
Overview
Cryptobase.gr publishes news, analysis and guides about Bitcoin, Ethereum, crypto and blockchain in Greek, for readers who would otherwise have to follow all of it in English. It has passed a thousand articles and now has three writers.
It is my own project. I built the site and I look after everything around it: the publishing setup, the SEO, the branding, the social media and the daily running.
What I did
- WordPress, set up for a small newsroom: sections for news, markets, interviews and opinion, plus a Basics of Crypto section for readers who are starting out.
- Over a thousand published articles, from three authors.
- Greek typography handled properly, down to dropping the accents in uppercase headings.
- Technical SEO with Yoast: structured data, sitemaps, per-article meta and social previews.
- Branding, social media and the advertising side, including sponsored posts and partner banners.
