NHMA Counselling & Psychotherapy
A website for a counselling and psychotherapy institute in Larissa, built on WordPress with a custom theme, so the practice can keep it up to date on its own.
Overview
NHMA is an institute of counselling and psychotherapy in Larissa, where Giorgos Giannousis and Konstantia Chaldoupi work with adults, couples, families, children and teenagers. The site had to explain what each kind of therapy is for, in words someone who is struggling can read without feeling talked down to, and make the next step an easy one.
I designed it and built it on WordPress, with a custom theme and a small plugin of my own, so the practice can publish its own articles, videos and seminars without waiting on a developer.
What I did
- A calm design in the practice’s own red, with Greek typography in Noto Serif and Manrope, self-hosted and preloaded.
- A custom child theme and a companion plugin, so the content stays in WordPress and the design stays in code.
- A page for each service: individual, couples, group and family therapy, counselling for children and teenagers, and online sessions.
- Structured data for the practice, its address and opening hours, its services, both therapists and their books.
- The YouTube videos load only when someone presses play, which keeps the pages light on a phone.
- WebP images, Yoast SEO with a sitemap, and a contact form next to the appointment line.
